Make Extra Money!

Who would say no to a little extra cash to play with? Here are some of the best ideas I've found for making some.

Donate Plasma!

Medical and research companies pay donors with clean blood to donate the liquid portion (plasma). It takes about an hour during which you're hooked up to a machine that draws your blood a pint at a time, spins it and siphons off some of the liquid portion, and then returns the red blood cells to you. You can donate twice a week and pay is usually $20-$100 every time.

Do Online Surveys

You're not going to make a fortune or pay the bills with this one, but if you're looking for a little extra money, it's a fun way to get it.

Get a Paper Route

Ok, so it's early, and it's work, but most people can fit this into their schedules. Not just for little boys on bikes anymore, a paper route can often be completed more efficiently by an adult in a car. Starting around $500 a month it's a nice way to make a little extra.

Build and Promote Your Own Web Site

Do you have a hobby or special area of expertise that you want to share? Build a website to share your knowledge with the world and add advertising links to make some extra money. How much you earn depends on how much traffic you get and which programs you sign up with. It takes a big initial investment of time, but it can definitely pay off in the long run. Learning to write web pages isn't particularly difficult, although it is somewhat involved. Picking up a good book on web publishing from the library, or cheap off amazon.com might be a good idea to get you started.
